Summary

KDHE posted its weekly public notice on April 9, 2026, concerning draft water pollution control permits under Kansas Administrative Regulations. The notice covers National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Kansas Water Pollution Control permits for discharges to waters of the United States and Kansas. KDHE is accepting public comments on various permit applications, notices to revoke and reissue, and notices to terminate.

What changed

KDHE has published draft water pollution control permit documents for public review and comment. The notices encompass NPDES individual permits, general permit authorizations, notices to revoke and reissue existing permits, and notices to terminate permits for facilities discharging to waters of the United States and Kansas.

Facilities and stakeholders potentially affected by these permits should review the specific permit documents and submit comments during the public comment period. The final action will result in issuance of Federal NPDES Authorization and/or Kansas Water Pollution Control permits subject to conditions, revocation and reissuance, or termination depending on the permit status.

What to do next

  1. Review the public notice documents for permits affecting your facility or nearby waters
  2. Submit written comments to KDHE by the specified deadline if applicable
