SUMMARY:

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is proposing to renew an information
collection.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

In accordance with the PRA (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.) and 5 CFR 1320.8(d)(1), all information collections require approval under the PRA. An agency may not conduct or sponsor,
nor is an individual required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number.

As part of our continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burdens, we invite the public and other Federal agencies
to comment on new, proposed, revised, and continuing collections of information. This helps us assess the impact of our information
collection requirements and minimize the public's reporting burden. It also helps the public understand our information collection
requirements and provide the requested data in the desired format.

We are especially interested in public comment addressing the following:

(1) Whether or not the collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including
whether or not the information will have practical utility;

(2) The accuracy of our estimate of the burden for this collection of information, including the validity of the methodology
and assumptions used;

(3) Ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and

(4) How the agency might minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are to respond, including through
the use of appropriate automated, electronic, mechanical, or other technological collection techniques or other forms of information
technology, e.g., permitting electronic submission of response.

in our request to OMB to approve this ICR. Before including your address, phone number, email address, or other personally

Abstract: The 3D National Topography Model (3DNTM) is a USGS-led effort to modernize and integrate the nation's elevation and hydrography
data through the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) and the 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP). This effort supports the most advanced
scientific and operational needs by delivering high-quality, accessible topographic data. The 3DNTM is built on core components
that align with federal mandates, including the National Landslides Preparedness Act, which authorized 3DEP, and the Geospatial
Data Act of 2018, which directs federal agencies to (1) collect, maintain, disseminate, and preserve geospatial data such
that the resulting data, information, or products can be readily shared with other Federal agencies and non-Federal users;
and (2) coordinate and work in partnership with other Federal agencies, agencies of State, tribal, and local governments,
institutions of higher education, and the private sector to efficiently and cost-effectively collect, integrate, maintain,
disseminate, and preserve geospatial data, building upon existing non-Federal geospatial data to the extent possible. The
success of 3DNTM

depends on shared investment from a wide range of stakeholders who benefit from high-resolution topographic data. To support
this collaboration, the annual 3DNTM Data Collaboration Announcement (DCA) provides a formal opportunity for partners to work
with USGS and other federal agencies to acquire 3DEP lidar or 3DHP hydrography data. Eligible applicants include federal agencies,
state and local governments, tribal nations, academic institutions, and private sector organizations. USGS collects information
from applicants about their proposed topographic data collection and cost sharing to determine project acceptance.
