Summary

FERC issued a notice announcing a revised procedural schedule for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Project No. 2426-235, involving California Department of Water Resources and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The revised schedule affects the timeline for the NEPA environmental review process associated with the proposed project relicensing. The notice provides updated milestones for parties participating in the environmental review proceeding.

What changed

FERC published a notice revising the procedural schedule for the Environmental Impact Statement required under NEPA for Project No. 2426-235, involving California Department of Water Resources and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power hydroelectric project relicensing. The notice updates the timeline for the environmental review process but does not alter the scope or substantive requirements of the EIS.

Affected parties, including project stakeholders and intervenors in the relicensing proceeding, should monitor FERC's docket for the specific revised dates and adjust their comment preparation and participation timelines accordingly. This is a procedural scheduling update and does not create new compliance obligations.

What to do next

  1. Monitor FERC docket for updated procedural milestones
  2. Submit comments according to revised schedule
