NRC Exemption for Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant License Renewal Review

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued an exemption for the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2. This exemption removes the requirement for the renewal application to be reviewed by the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards.

NRC Proposes Rule for Licensing Adjudications

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has proposed revisions to its rules of practice and procedure to streamline contested adjudications in licensing proceedings. This action is in response to the ADVANCE Act and Executive Order 14300. A public meeting is scheduled for March 19, 2026, during the public comment period.

NRC Seeks Comment on Renewal of Information Collection Forms

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking public comment on its request to renew two existing information collection forms: NRC Form 646, “Formal Discrimination Complaint” and NRC Form 655, “EEO Counselor's Report.” The agency has submitted the renewal request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review.

NRC Sunshine Act Meetings Schedule March-April 2026

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has published its schedule for Sunshine Act public meetings for March and April 2026. The schedule includes one tentative public meeting on April 21, 2026, with the Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes.
