What changed
The Slovenian Court of Audit completed a compliance audit of the Information Commissioner for fiscal year 2024 and issued a positive opinion confirming that the agency operated in compliance with applicable regulations in all material respects. The audit covered two primary areas: salary and related employment cost administration, and procurement of goods, materials, services, and fixed assets. Minor irregularities were identified during the audit but were corrected by the Information Commissioner before the audit concluded, eliminating the need for a formal response report. The audit was conducted under the Law on the Court of Audit, the Court's Rules of Procedure, international auditing standards, and applicable audit guidelines. Affected public-sector entities subject to similar Court of Audit oversight should note that timely remediation of identified issues during the audit process can prevent formal corrective-action requirements. The positive opinion confirms the Information Commissioner manages public resources in compliance with regulatory requirements.
