Summary

CERT-FR issued an alert on 11 critical vulnerabilities in GitLab Community and Enterprise Edition affecting versions before 18.10.3, 18.9.5, and 18.8.9. The flaws allow remote code execution, denial of service attacks, and data confidentiality breaches. Users must patch to version 18.10.3 or later to remediate.

What changed

CERT-FR published an advisory identifying 11 critical vulnerabilities in GitLab CE/EE across three version branches (prior to 18.10.3, 18.9.5, and 18.8.9). The vulnerabilities include CVE-2025-12664, CVE-2025-9484, CVE-2026-1092, CVE-2026-1101, CVE-2026-1403, CVE-2026-1516, CVE-2026-1752, CVE-2026-2104, CVE-2026-2619, CVE-2026-4332, CVE-2026-4916, and CVE-2026-5173. Attackers can exploit these to achieve remote code execution, cause denial of service, bypass security controls, or exfiltrate confidential data.

Organizations running affected GitLab installations must patch to 18.10.3 or later without delay. Self-hosted GitLab deployments are directly exposed and require immediate vendor patch application. Organizations should audit logs for signs of exploitation and monitor the GitLab security release page for additional patches addressing newly disclosed CVEs.

What to do next

  1. Patch GitLab to version 18.10.3 or later immediately
  2. Review systems for indicators of compromise using listed CVEs
  3. Monitor GitLab security bulletins for additional updates
