La Asamblea Parlamentaria celebrará su sesión plenaria de primavera en Estrasburgo

Entre los puntos destacados de la sesión plenaria de primavera de la Asamblea Parlamentaria del Consejo de Europa (APCE), que se celebrará en Estrasburgo del 20 al 24 de abril de 2026, figuran las intervenciones del presidente de la presidencia colectiva de Bosnia y Herzegovina, Denis Be ćirović, y del ministro de Asuntos Exteriores y Europa de Francia, Jean-N oël Barrot.

Otros momentos destacados serán los debates sobre la violencia y el discurso de odio contra los políticos, sobre la protección de la libertad de religión o creencias en Europa y sobre la abolición de la pena de muerte en todas las circunstancias. Este último debate contará con la participación de Antoinette Chahine, activista por los derechos humanos que fue condenada a muerte y posteriormente absuelta, y con Barbara Lochbihler, comisaria de la Comisión Internacional contra la Pena de Muerte.

También se celebrará un debate conjunto sobre la mejora de la aplicación del Convenio de Estambul -el tratado del Consejo de Europa destinado a prevenir y combatir la violencia contra las mujeres- basándose en la experiencia adquirida y sobre cómo abrir el camino a una cultura del consentimiento, que contará con la participación de la ministra de igualdad de España, Ana Redondo.

Asimismo se celebrará la ceremonia de entrega del Premio al Museo Europeo del año 2026 del Consejo de Europa, galardón que recibirá el Young V&A ** de Londres, la sección dedicada a niñ os, j óvenes y familias del Victoria and Albert Museum, el museo nacional de artes aplicadas del Reino Unido. (Leer más...)
