Autopsy Results in Haverhill, New Hampshire Suspicious Death Investigation

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Haverhill Police Chief David Appleby announce further information related to the suspicious death in Haverhill, New Hampshire.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) performed an autopsy on the body of Demetrius White, age 22, who was found deceased inside of an apartment on Nelson Street in Haverhill, New Hampshire on Monday, April 20, 2026.  Following the autopsy, the OCME determined that Mr. White’s cause of death was a gunshot wound of the chest and abdomen and that his manner of death was homicide.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain under active investigation.  There is no currently known threat to the general public.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available while protecting the integrity of the investigation.
