A formal sitting for a eulogy will be held on Thursday 26 March, at 12:00, in the Main Courtroom of the Court of Justice of the European Union. During the sitting, solemn tribute will be paid to the memory of:
José Carlos de Carvalho Moitinho de Almeida, Judge at the Court of Justice from 31 January 1986 to 6 October
2000, who died on 19 January 2026;Jerzy Makarczyk, Judge at the Court of Justice from 11 May 2004 to 6 October 2009, who died on 30 July 2025.
