Autopsy Results in Laconia, New Hampshire Homicide Investigation of the Death of John Anderson

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield announce that the New Hampshire Department of Justice Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has performed an autopsy on the body of John Anderson (age 62) who was found deceased in his home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Laconia, New Hampshire.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s examination found that Mr. Anderson’s cause of death was stab wounds of the neck and his manner of death was homicide.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call the New Hampshire State Police tip line at 603-MCU-TIPS (603-628-8477). Detectives are also interested in hearing from anyone with information about Mr. Anderson’s communications, whereabouts, activities, and any activity at his residence 217 South Main Street Apt. 1 in Laconia, New Hampshire, on or between April 12, 2026, and April 14, 2026.
