Summary
CPSC announced a recall of 2,066 Patoolio Direct electric pressure washers (models W8 and W6) due to lack of an integral ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI), posing a serious risk of shock and electrocution. The products were sold on Amazon.com from October 2025 through January 2026 for $45-$150. Importer is Shenzhen Xingyashang Technology Co., Ltd., dba Patoolio Direct, of China.
What changed
CPSC ordered Patoolio Direct to recall 2,066 electric pressure washers due to missing integral GFCI protection, a serious safety defect that can cause shock or electrocution during use. The recall covers model W8 (grey/black) and model W6 (orange) units sold exclusively on Amazon.com.\n\nConsumers who purchased these pressure washers must immediately stop using the products, destroy them by cutting the power cord in half, photograph the destruction, and submit the photo to Patoolio Direct for a full refund. Manufacturers and retailers should verify they do not have affected inventory and cooperate with the recall. This action underscores CPSC's continued focus on electrical safety in consumer products.
