H.I.G. Capital Acquires Aviation Cosmetics Malta

Notification of Concentration

In terms of regulation 5(4) of the Control of Concentrations Regulations, 2002 published in Legal Notice 294 of 2002, the Director General of the Office for Competition notifies for general information that a notification of a concentration between H.I.G. Capital, LLC (USA), through IAC Malta Limited (Msida), and Aviation Cosmetics Malta Limited (Safi) was filed on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.

The nature of the concentration is the acquisition by funds managed or advised by H.I.G. Capital, LLC, through IAC Malta Limited, of the business and assets of Aviation Cosmetics Malta Limited.

H.I.G. Capital, LLC is a global private equity and alternative assets investment firm. It specialises in providing debt and equity capital to small and mid-sized companies.

IAC Malta Limited, which is part of the IAC group, was recently formed for the purposes of the transaction. The IAC group is active at global level in the provision of aircraft painting services but has no activities in Malta.

Aviation Cosmetics Malta Limited is a company that specialises in aircraft exterior design. It provides aircraft painting services to commercial airlines and aviation leasing companies at Safi Aviation Park in Malta.

The Director General of the Office for Competition invites interested third parties to submit their written objections on this notified concentration within seven days following publication of this notice at the following address:
