AUSTRAC Website Updates for AML/CTF Reforms
Summary
AUSTRAC is updating its website starting March 30, 2026, to improve navigation and support for the implementation of AML/CTF reforms. These changes aim to make information easier to find for existing reporting entities and new tranche 2 entities.
What changed
AUSTRAC announced website updates effective March 30, 2026, to enhance user experience and support the ongoing implementation of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) reforms. The changes include a refreshed look, clearer menu structure, improved search functionality, and an enhanced contact center. These updates are timed to align with new reform obligations for existing reporting entities and the enrollment/registration for tranche 2 entities.
Regulated entities, particularly existing reporting entities and new tranche 2 entities, will benefit from clearer signposting of changes, improved access to guidance on obligations and AML/CTF programs, and a more guided onboarding experience for new entities.
