The extension runs from close of business on April 22, 2026 to close of business on July 22, 2026. What changed

The RBI has extended existing regulatory directions for The Suri Friends' Union Co-operative Bank Ltd. for three months, from April 22, 2026 to July 22, 2026. The original directions under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 were first issued in July 2022 and have been progressively extended. All other terms and conditions of the directive remain unchanged. The extension is subject to review and does not indicate RBI satisfaction with the bank's financial position. Co-operative banks subject to similar RBI directions should note this is a routine administrative extension process, not an indication of worsening financial condition.
