Summary

The SEC issued a notice extending the review period for NYSE's proposed rule change to amend Section 703.12(II) of the NYSE Listed Company Manual, which would expand circumstances under which rights may be listed. The original 45-day review period expiring April 3, 2026, has been extended to May 18, 2026. This is a standard administrative action under Section 19(b)(2) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

What changed

The SEC has designated May 18, 2026, as the new deadline for Commission action on File No. SR-NYSE-2026-05, extending the original 45-day review period that would have expired April 3, 2026. The proposed rule change would amend NYSE Listed Company Manual Section 703.12(II) to expand circumstances under which rights may be listed on the exchange. This extension gives the Commission additional time to consider the proposed rule change and issues raised.

This notice does not impose new obligations on regulated entities. Listed companies and market participants should be aware of this administrative extension while awaiting the SEC's final determination on NYSE's proposed listing standards expansion. No immediate action is required.
