New Hampshire Secretary of State warns business community to beware of ongoing third-party Annual Report solicitations
A press release issued by the New Hampshire Secretary of State last month remains relevant as unauthorized solicitations for 2026 Annual Report information continue. The third-party solicitations request that a fee be paid.
From the Secretary of State's press release:
"These solicitations often resemble official government forms or notices, but they are not issued, approved, or endorsed by the New Hampshire Secretary of State’s Office. Instead, they are advertisements from private companies seeking to charge businesses unnecessary fees," said Secretary of State David Scanlan.
“Business owners are urged to read these solicitations carefully. Reports indicate that some third-party vendors charge substantially more than the statutory filing fee or may direct you to file a report when no annual report is due.” Commented Tom Connolly, Corporations Director.
New Hampshire businesses can file their Annual Reports directly with the Secretary of State’s Office using NH QuickStart, the State’s official online business filing system. NH QuickStart provides the most secure, convenient, and cost-effective method to file—without the need to hire a third-party service provider.
