Financial Empowerment Month: Focus on preventing elder financial abuse
As part of April's Financial Empowerment Month initiative, the New Hampshire Banking Department is highlighting key areas of financial literacy. Today we're focusing on preventing elder financial abuse.
The New Hampshire Banking Department has a "Preventing Elder Financial Abuse" one-page flyer with information on common scams. This flyer can be used as an informational guide and can be printed out to have as a reference or display in an appropriate area.
The New Hampshire Attorney General's office has an Elder Abuse and Financial Exploitation Unit. If you believe you have been the victim of financial abuse or have been targeted by a scam, please contact the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office by calling 1-888-468-4454 or by email at doj-cpb@doj.nh.gov.
