What changed

This Federal Register notice announces Treasury's submission of six IRS information collection requests to OMB for review and clearance under the Paperwork Reduction Act. The notice solicits public comments but does not create new regulatory requirements. The six collections cover: (1) Form 2290/2290-SP for Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax with 965,100 estimated responses and 15,972,406 annual burden hours; (2) Form 1099-K for payment card and third-party network transaction reporting with 13,340,100 estimated responses; (3) Revenue Procedure 2001-29 on leveraged lease rulings with 10 respondents; (4) TD 9305 final regulations on space and ocean activity income sourcing with 250 respondents; (5) Revenue Procedure 2000-37 on reverse like-kind exchanges with 1,600 respondents; and (6) Forms 14417/14417-A for non-federal entity reimbursable agreements with 65 respondents.

Affected parties should be aware this is a standard Paperwork Reduction Act notice inviting comment on existing approved collections. Businesses, individuals, and government entities that file IRS forms 2290, 1099-K, or participate in the covered transactions (leveraged leases, space/ocean activities, like-kind exchanges, reimbursable agreements with non-federal entities) may submit comments via Regulations.gov or through www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAMain. No new compliance obligations are created by this notice.
