Budapest, 2026. április 22. - *Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB), the central bank of Hungary hosted the first seminar of its 2026 Technical Cooperation Programme in Budapest between 20–23 April 2026, under the title “From data collection to publications - Inside MNB Statistics”. The event focused on presenting the processes of central bank statistical activities, ranging from regulatory activities requiring data provision to multi-purpose and statistical data analyses. At the opening ceremony, Péter Benő Banai, Deputy Governor of the MNB responsible for analysis, payments and central bank programmes highlighted the key role of high-quality statistical data and modern, data-driven analytical frameworks in supporting effective central bank decision-making in a rapidly changing economic environment.
