Luxembourg IFMs Management Notification Procedures via eDesk Portal
Summary
The CSSF has announced that Luxembourg-domiciled Alternative Investment Fund Managers (IFMs) must use the eDesk Portal for management notifications and de-notifications with a European passport starting April 22, 2026. An API solution will also be available.
What changed
The CSSF is implementing a new procedure for Luxembourg-domiciled IFMs (Alternative Investment Fund Managers and Management Companies) to submit management notifications and de-notifications when utilizing a European passport to operate in other Member States. Effective April 22, 2026, these submissions must be made through the CSSF's eDesk Portal. An alternative submission method via an S3 API solution will also be provided.
This change mandates a new operational process for affected IFMs, requiring them to adapt their systems and workflows to comply with the eDesk Portal or API submission requirements. While the exact details of the API solution will be provided at launch, IFMs should prepare for the transition to the new digital submission channels by the April 22, 2026 deadline to ensure continued compliance with cross-border notification obligations.
