FDIC Seeks Comment on Bank Info Collection Renewal
Summary
The FDIC, under the Paperwork Renewal Act of 1995, seeks public comment on the renewal of two existing information collections (OMB Control Nos. 3064-0029 and 3064-0177). Collection 1 covers Notification of Performance of Bank Services (Form 6120/06) for insured state nonmember banks and state savings associations. Collection 2 covers securitization disclosures required under 12 CFR 360.6 for insured depository institutions. Estimated annual burden hours total 313 and 7,008 respectively. Comment deadline is June 22, 2026.
What changed
The FDIC is seeking public comment on the renewal of two existing approved information collections without substantive changes. The first collection (OMB 3064-0029, Form 6120/06) requires insured state nonmember banks and state savings associations to notify the FDIC of relationships with bank service companies, with estimated annual burden of 313 hours (down 12 hours from 2023). The second collection (OMB 3064-0177) requires securitization disclosures from insured depository institutions under 12 CFR 360.6, with estimated annual burden of 7,008 hours unchanged from 2023.
Affected institutions—insured state nonmember banks, state savings associations, and insured depository institutions engaged in securitization transactions—should review the burden estimates. No new reporting requirements are being imposed; this is a standard PRA renewal maintaining existing disclosure obligations under the Bank Service Company Act and FDIC securitization regulations.

General Description of Collection: Insured state nonmember banks are required to notify the FDIC, under section 7 of the Bank Service Company Act (12 U.S.C.
1867), of the relationship with a bank service company. The Form FDIC 6120/06, Notification of Performance of Bank Services,
may be used by banks to satisfy the notification requirement. There is no change in the method or substance of the collection.
The estimated annual burden has decreased by 12 hours, from 325 hours in 2023 to 313 hours in this ICR. This decrease is attributable
to a reduction in the estimated number of responses. The time and frequency of responses remain unchanged.

General Description of Collection: Part 360.6 of the FDIC's regulations sets forth certain conditions that must be satisfied for a securitization transaction
sponsored by an insured depository institution to be eligible for special treatment in the event that the FDIC is appointed
receiver or conservator. As part of these conditions, securitization documents must include certain disclosure and recordkeeping
requirements. There is no change in the method or substance of the collection. The estimated annual burden remains unchanged
from the 2023 estimate.
