Política Financiera


En Chile el Banco Central de Chile cuenta con un mandato explícito de estabilidad financiera y responsabilidad compartida con la Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF). En este contexto, la Política Financiera consiste en el conjunto de medidas que el Banco Central de Chile adopta para reducir el riesgo sistémico en el sector financiero, de manera de contribuir con la estabilidad financiera.



¿Cuáles son las medidas del Banco Central para contribuir a la Estabilidad Financiera?

I.   Estabilidad Financiera
Identificar y monitorear riesgos, que se comunican al público regularmente, desde 2004 y de manera semestral, a través del Informe de Estabilidad Financiera (IEF).

II. Regulación prudencial y cambiaria El diseño e implementación de políticas que contribuyan a un funcionamiento seguro y eficiente del sector financiero, mediante la regulación prudencial y regulación cambiaria emitida por el Banco en base a las facultades que le son conferidas al Banco Central de Chile a través de su Ley Orgánica Constitucional (LOC) y otros cuerpos normativos.

III. Participación en el Consejo de Estabilidad Financiera La operación de mecanismos de coordinación con los reguladores a través del Consejo de Estabilidad Financiera y los mecanismos de consulta previa previstos en la ley.
