Establishment of Class E Airspace; Birch Creek Airport, Birch Creek, AK (Correction)
Summary
The FAA issued a correction to a final rule establishing Class E airspace at Birch Creek Airport, Birch Creek, Alaska. The correction replaces an incorrect regional routing symbol 'ANM' with the correct symbol 'AAL' in the airspace legal description. This administrative change affects airspace designations under FAA Order JO 7400.11K.
What changed
This final rule correction modifies the FAA's previously published rule (91 FR 13495, March 20, 2026) for Docket No. FAA-2025-5140, which established Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Birch Creek Airport. The correction changes the regional routing symbol from 'ANM' to 'AAL' in the header of the airspace legal description 'ANM AK E5 Birch Creek, AK [NEW]'. No other aspects of the airspace designation are affected.
This is a purely administrative correction with no substantive changes to airspace boundaries, altitudes, or flight procedures. The underlying rule's effective date of May 14, 2026 at 0901 UTC remains unchanged. Operators should ensure their FAA Order JO 7400.11K references reflect the corrected 'AAL' regional code when the amendment takes effect.

History
The FAA published a final rule in the Federal Register (91 FR 13495; March 20, 2026) for Docket FAA-2025-5140, which established Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Birch Creek Airport, Birch Creek, AK.
