Doctoral Research Award CGRS D 2025-2026 Application Deadline
Summary
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has updated the application deadline for the Doctoral Research Award (CGRS D) program for the 2025-2026 competition. The deadline for institutions to forward applications is November 21, 2025.
What changed
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has issued a notice regarding updates to the Doctoral Research Award (CGRS D) program for the 2025-2026 competition. The primary change is the clarification of application deadlines. While the general application deadline for institutions to forward applications is November 21, 2025, applicants applying directly to agencies must do so by October 17, 2025. Applicants applying through a Canadian institution should contact their institution for specific deadlines.
Educational institutions and potential applicants must be aware of these updated deadlines to ensure timely submission. Failure to meet the institutional forwarding deadline of November 21, 2025, or the direct application deadline of October 17, 2025, will result in the application not being considered for the 2025-2026 funding cycle. Applicants are advised to consult the provided links for detailed information on the application process and eligibility criteria.
What to do next
- Verify institutional application submission deadlines for the CGRS D program.
- Ensure all required application materials are submitted by the institutional deadline of November 21, 2025.
- Direct applicants applying directly to agencies to the October 17, 2025 deadline.
