Boulder Canyon Project FY2026 Electric Rates Increase

The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) has confirmed and approved a 2.5% increase in the base charge and electric rates for the Boulder Canyon Project (BCP) for fiscal year 2026. The base charge will rise from $74.3 million to $76.2 million, effective October 1, 2025, primarily due to decreased anticipated prior year carryover funds.

WAPA Rate Order WAPA-211 for Pacific Transmission Service Confirmed

The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) has confirmed and approved provisional formula rates for Pacific Alternating Current Intertie (PACI) point-to-point transmission service in the Sierra Nevada region. These rates, effective April 1, 2026, supersede previous rates and maintain the existing formula-based methodology with updated effective dates.
