Postal Regulatory Commission Final Rule on Market Dominant Product Rates
The Postal Regulatory Commission has issued a final rule restricting the Postal Service from increasing rates for Market Dominant products more than once per fiscal year until September 30, 2030. The rule also limits how far workshare discounts can deviate from avoided costs. These changes aim to better align the ratemaking system with statutory objectives.
Postal Regulatory Commission Proposes Rule Changes
The Postal Regulatory Commission has proposed changes to its rules regarding agency organization and practice and procedure. These amendments aim to enhance transparency, promote efficiency, and update regulations to reflect statutory changes, including the creation of a new Office of Budget and Finance and changes to the Office of Inspector General structure. The Commission is also proposing to end the codification of product lists in the Code of Federal Regulations.
