FCIC Removes Obsolete Regulations

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) is removing obsolete regulations from title 7 of the CFR. This final rule, effective August 14, 2025, aims to reduce regulatory burdens and costs by eliminating outdated provisions related to Actual Production History and specific disaster and pandemic programs. The agency states these changes will not impact current or past FCIC customers.

Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Removes Obsolete Regulations

The Risk Management Agency, on behalf of the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC), is removing seven obsolete crop insurance regulations from title 7 of the CFR. These regulations have been replaced by alternate policies and their removal aims to reduce confusion for FCIC customers.

FCIC Seeks Comments on Extension of Information Collection

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) is requesting public comments on the extension of an existing information collection related to Subpart U—Ineligibility for Programs under the Federal Crop Insurance Act. The current approval for OMB Control Number 0563-0085 expires on September 30, 2026.
