Bureau of Prisons proposes inmate financial responsibility program updates

The Bureau of Prisons has issued a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking to update and streamline regulations for the Inmate Financial Responsibility Program (IFRP). The program encourages inmates to pay financial obligations and develop financial planning skills. Written comments are due by February 18, 2025.
