USDA GIPSA Withdraws Interim Final Rule on Packers and Stockyards Act

This withdrawal means that a finding of harm or likely harm to competition will continue to be a necessary element in establishing certain violations under the Act.

Packers and Stockyards Act Scope Withdrawal
The Department of Agriculture and the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration have withdrawn an interim final rule concerning the scope of Sections 202(a) and (b) of the Packers and Stockyards Act. This action removes the previously published rule, effective October 18, 2017.
