USDA Grain Inspection Designation Opportunity

The USDA's Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) is announcing an opportunity for designation to provide official grain inspection and weighing services in specific areas of Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. The current designation for Midsouth Grain Inspection Service ends March 31, 2018, and applications for new designations are being accepted.

Packers and Stockyards Act Violation Rules

The Department of Agriculture and the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration have withdrawn a proposed rule concerning unfair practices and undue preferences under the Packers and Stockyards Act. This action follows a previous proposed rule published in December 2016.
