Colorado Joins Lawsuit Challenging Federal Immunization Policy Overhaul

Colorado AG Sues Energy Secretary Over Energy Projects Termination

Colorado's Attorney General Phil Weiser, leading a coalition of 13 states, has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Energy Secretary and other federal officials. The suit challenges the termination of $8 billion in energy and infrastructure awards nationwide, including over $600 million to Colorado projects. PetSmart Settlement for Workers

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser is distributing $225,000 to over 60 former PetSmart workers following a settlement over deceptive training program advertising. PetSmart must also comply with Colorado law for future training repayment agreements and stop collection activities against affected workers.

The cuts could take effect as early as February 12, 2026.

Medicaid Fraud Charges Filed Against Two Individuals

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado and the Colorado Attorney General's Office have filed charges against Ashley Marie Stevens and Wesam Yassin for defrauding Colorado Medicaid's non-emergent medical transportation program. The alleged fraud totals over $4.3 million, with charges including wire fraud, health care fraud, and money laundering.

Eye Clinics Pay $520K for Illegal Medicaid Billing

Two Colorado eye clinics, Apex Vision and Wellness and Just for Grins Vision, have agreed to pay a combined $520,000 to resolve allegations of illegal Medicaid billing. The clinics are accused of overbilling for corrective lenses for children and young adults between 2019 and 2025.
