Summary

The Ounce of Prevention Council and the Department of Housing and Urban Development have issued a notice regarding the availability of funding for the Ounce of Prevention Grant Program. This notice provides information on the program and the process for public comment.

What changed

This document is a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Ounce of Prevention Grant Program, issued by the Ounce of Prevention Council and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. It announces the availability of funds and initiates a 60-day public comment period following a 30-day comment period, as mandated by the Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983. The notice details the program's commencement contingent on the conclusion of these comment periods.

Regulated entities, likely healthcare providers or non-profit organizations involved in public health initiatives, should review the notice for potential funding opportunities. While no specific compliance deadline is mentioned for entities to apply, the notice indicates a process involving public comment periods. Interested parties should monitor further announcements regarding application procedures and deadlines. No penalties are mentioned in this funding availability notice.
