Summary

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is seeking public comment on a revision to a currently approved collection of information related to the Immigrant Petition for the Gold Card Program. The comment period ends on May 11, 2026.

What changed

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has published a notice in the Federal Register regarding a revision to a currently approved collection of information concerning the Immigrant Petition for the Gold Card Program. This notice initiates a public comment period, allowing interested parties to review and provide feedback on the proposed changes to the information collection requirements.

Regulated entities and interested individuals are encouraged to submit comments by May 11, 2026. While this is a notice and comment period, it is crucial for compliance officers to understand the nature of the information collection being revised, as it may impact future application processes or requirements for immigrant petitions. Failure to review and potentially comment could lead to the adoption of new information collection burdens without adequate consideration of stakeholder concerns.

What to do next

  1. Review the proposed revisions to the Immigrant Petition for the Gold Card Program information collection.
  2. Submit comments to USCIS by the deadline of May 11, 2026, if applicable.
  3. Assess potential impacts of the revised information collection on internal processes.
