As part of its mission to inform and raise awareness among data controllers and processors about personal data protection legislation, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority continues the implementation of the European project byRisk (https://byrisk-project.eu/).

The project’s main objective is to support small and medium-sized enterprises in identifying and effectively analyzing data protection risks arising from their data processing activities. At the same time, it aims to enhance public awareness and understanding of these risks.

The 1 st byRisk newsletter presented the initial phase of the project — namely, the identification of data protection risks, the presentation of the methodology, and a summary of the main findings from the survey conducted among SMEs.

The 2 nd issue of the newsletter presents the progress of the project, focusing on the development of a new risk categorization and on the design of the framework and key functionalities of the new risk assessment tool.
