Agency Information Collection Activities: Comment Request
Summary
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has published a request for comments on its agency information collection activities. The comment period is open for 23 days, closing on April 6, 2026.
What changed
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has initiated a comment period for its agency information collection activities. This notice, published on March 5, 2026, allows the public to provide feedback on data collection processes. The specific details of the information collection activities are not elaborated in this excerpt, but the CFPB is seeking input as part of its standard regulatory process.
Regulated entities and interested parties have until April 6, 2026, to submit their comments. This is a critical deadline for providing input that could influence future data collection requirements or practices by the CFPB. Failure to comment may result in the agency proceeding with its planned information collection activities without considering public feedback.
What to do next
- Review the CFPB's information collection activities notice
- Submit comments by April 6, 2026, if applicable

The OFR/GPO partnership is committed to presenting accurate and reliable

establishing the XML-based Federal Register as an ACFR-sanctioned

the material on FederalRegister.gov is accurately displayed, consistent with
the official SGML-based PDF version on govinfo.gov, those relying on it for
legal research should verify their results against an official edition of
the Federal Register. Until the ACFR grants it official status, the XML
