What changed
This document serves as a prior notification for a concentration between Apollo Funds and Lecta, identified as Case M.12333. It is designated as a candidate for the simplified procedure by the European Commission. The simplified procedure is typically applied to mergers that are not expected to raise competition concerns, allowing for a faster review process.
For the parties involved, Apollo Funds and Lecta, this designation suggests that the merger review is likely to be less complex and time-consuming than a standard procedure. While no specific compliance actions are immediately required beyond the initial notification, companies should be aware that the Commission may still request further information if competition concerns arise during the review. The publication date of February 23, 2026, indicates the official commencement of this notification period.
