MDEQ beach water quality advisories continue through September

MDEQ posts the most current beach water quality information and advisories on the official Beach Monitoring website at beaches.mdeq.ms.gov. Advisory information is published on the website as soon as it is issued, making it the fastest place to find updated beach conditions.

MDEQ will continue issuing text alerts and press releases during the peak beach season through Labor Day, September 7, 2026. Beginning September 8, 2026, routine advisories will be communicated through posted beach signage and the Beach Monitoring website, where the most up-to-date information is always available. Visitors are encouraged to check beaches.mdeq.ms.gov for current water quality conditions before visiting the beach.
