Method and apparatus for configuring semi-persistent CSI-RS resources

Abstract

Apparatuses and methods for configuring semi-persistent CSI-RS resources are provided. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a configuration about a channel state information (CSI) report. The configuration includes information about a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) burst including B>1 time instances of a CSI-RS transmission. The CSI-RS burst is based on K≥1 CSI-RS resources. The method further includes measuring the CSI-RS burst and identifying a value d, where d is a number of consecutive time instances that are included in a Doppler domain (DD) unit of DD units. The method further includes determining multiple DD basis vectors, where each of the multiple DD basis vectors is associated with N4>1 of the DD units and where N4 is a length of each of the multiple DD basis vectors, and transmitting the CSI report including an indication about the multiple DD basis vectors.
