In an operating method of a battery in an embodiment, one of a plurality of SOC ranges shifted from each other is selected as an operation SOC range, and the battery is operated in the SOC range selected as the operation SOC range. In the operation method, the SOC range selected as the operation SOC range is sequentially switched between the plurality of SOC ranges.
