Abstract
Systems and methods receive, from a user device, a security request for an IP address of the user device to be stored as a pre-authorized device for future authentication instances incorporating multi-factor authentication, where the request is received after authentication credentials have been verified to provide the user device with access to a secure user profile. The IP address of the user device is stored to a list of pre-authorized devices associated with the secure user profile. An IP address recognition gateway is used to identify that the IP address is attempting to access the secure user profile, and the IP address is compared to stored devices on the list of pre-authorized devices associated with the secure user profile. It is determined that the user device is pre-authorized to bypass the multi-factor authentication, and the user device is authorized to access the secure user profile.
