DMRS-Based Communication Method and Apparatus

Abstract

A demodulation reference signal (DMRS)-based communication method includes a network device configuring a terminal to use an enhanced DMRS type, so that the terminal can receive a DMRS by using an orthogonal cover code (OCC) corresponding to the enhanced DMRS type, where the OCC is, for example, a sequence with a length of 2 or 4, to avoid a receiving failure due to a case that the terminal does not know whether to use an OCC corresponding to the enhanced DMRS type or an OCC corresponding to a DMRS type 1 or a DMRS type 2, and so that the terminal receives the DMRS.
