Abstract
Techniques are provided that support communications between electrophysiological procedure (EPP) systems during an EPP based on an EPP application programming interface (API). The EPP API specifies parameters and behavior of pull functions and push functions that support exchanging data between EPP systems during an EPP. Each EPP system provides an implementation of at least some of the pull functions and/or the push functions. During an EPP, the EPP systems employ the EPP API to exchange data such as electrocardiograms, arrhythmia source locations, catheter routes, electroanatomical mapping data, and electronic health records. The EPP systems may employ aspects of a trusted execution environment and encryption techniques to help ensure integrity of code and data of the EPP systems, authorization of the EPP systems, and security of communications between the EPP systems.
