Abstract
The present disclosure generally relates to a sustainable medical dressing (1) comprising at least a backing layer (2) and an absorbent pad (3), wherein the backing layer (2) comprises a biodegradable nonwoven or biodegradable paper, and wherein the absorbent pad (3) comprises a superabsorbent material derived from a renewable source. The present disclosure also relates to a medical dressing assembly (8) comprising the medical dressing (1).
