Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an external-catheter-kit system, comprising: a starter kit including both single-use and multi-use components; and a supplemental kit including supplemental single-use components to supplement the single-use components of the starter kit, each kit of the starter kit and the supplemental kit including; one or more external catheters; a cleansing kit including one or more individually wrapped towelettes for at least anatomical cleansing before application of any external catheter of the one or more external catheters; and step-by-step instructions for the anatomical cleansing, external-catheter application, and external-catheter management subsequent to the external-catheter application, thereby providing a standardized system for application and management of FECs with minimized procedural variation for obviating problems associated with an increase in the application and management of the FECs.
